By plane

If you are flying, the nearest airport is Salzburg with airport transfer times to Saalbach - Hinterglemm of around 90 minutes. Airport transfers are also possible from Innsbruck to Saalbach but take closer to 2 hours 20 minutes with a distance of 171km.

By car

The main route is to head for Salzburg and follow the signs to Lofer then Zell am See. Saalbach is sign-posted from there. Don't forget to buy the Austrian road tax sticker "Vignette" as it's against the law to drive on the motorways without one. You can buy one at the border or at petrol stations. There are 3 type of sticker: 10-days, 2-months and 1-year.

By train

The nearest station is Zell am See which is 19km from Saalbach. From the station, there are regular buses up to Saalbach and there is also the option of taking a taxi.
