Set within the beautiful Tarentaise Valley on the edge of the Vanoise National Park, the Paradiski ski area comprises Les Arcs, La Plagne and the hamlets in the Val Landry. Together, they provide 425km of linked pistes making the Paradiski area one of the largest lift-linked carousels in the world.
The ski area starts at 1200m and reaches up to 3250m on the glaciers meaning snow is pretty much guaranteed from mid-November to the end of April. Les Arcs naturally links in to Peisey-Vallandry but it wasn't until 2004 when the Vanoise cablecar was completed that La Plagne was linked in. Being such an important link, the Vanoise cablecar is the largest in the world capable of carrying 2000 people an hour at speeds of 45 m/s!

The Paradiski ski area is particularly
well suited to family ski holidays and first time skiers and snowboarders with its brilliantly connecting beginners areas to
the progressive blue pistes.
Monchavin / Les Coches resort is a very family friendly orientated resort and carries the the Familie Plus allocade meaning it has excellent facilities for children as young as 18 months.
Après-ski
Each resort around Paradiski offers something different in terms of the type and quantity of apres-ski venues. For lively apres-ski bars and clubs that stay open until the early hours, Les Arcs and La Plagne are the places to stay. In these two ski resorts, there are many cafes, bars and restaurants serving up local and international dishes.
For a more relaxed apres-ski scene, the best resorts are Les Coches and Montchavin. These smaller villages are much quieter than Les Arcs and La Plange which is more attractive for families.

Aqua Parks
For the bad weather days or somethingthing to do with the children after ski lessons, the Aqualudique Centre Arc 1800 is the place to go with spa and wellness, swimming pool, slides and childrens play area.
With its 3,800m2 of aquatic space dedicated to wellness and relaxation, the Arc 1800 “aquafun” centre is a place where you can spend an enjoyable time on your own, as a family or amongst friends! You can enjoy massage jets, its cave, whirlpool and other facilities to unwind and relax. For children, there is a splash pad, water jets jets and river with water slide.
Night luge
Sledging down 4kms of slopes in La Plagne is not to missed if you like fun and adventure. Once the lifts have closed and armed with a helmet and torch, you rattle down the track starting at 2000m at Aime La palgne all the way down to La Roche at 1550m - a massive 450m of vertical.
Depending on the weather, the sledge track is open throughout the winter and open every night except Sunday and Monday.It is suitable for families and is supervised by the Plagne Aime 2000 ski school.

Our view on Paradiski
The Paradiski is on a par with the Portes du Soleil as probably one of the best places in the world for intermediate skiers and boarders with well connected blues and reds. With 425km of uncrowded linked pistes, forest trails, glacial skiing and an excellent standard of accommodation with many ski-in, ski-out chalets, its hard to beat.
With short transfer times of around 1 hour from Chambery airport and excellent creche facilties throughout the area, all of the ski resorts that make up this amazing carousel are popular for family ski holidays.
