How to get to La Rosiere
La Rosiere is a very accessible resort and can easily be reached from many regional airports. The closest airport is Chambery with transfers taking around 1 hour 15 minutes. If you are flying into Geneva, Grenoble or Lyon, airport transfers to La Rosiere will be closer to 2 hours.
From Italy, Turin is the closest option with transfers taking around 3 hours via the Aosta Valley and La Thuile.
Transfers By car
If you are driving from one of the French airports, the first direction is to head to Albertville and then continue on the motorway to Moutiers. From there, continue along the A-road (RN90) to Bourg Saint Maurice then drive up to La Rosière on the B-road (RD1090) towards the Petit-Saint-Bernard pass and Italy.
If you are driving from Italy, you will head up through the Aosta Valley and follow the directions to Pré Saint Didier and La Thuile and on to the Petit Saint Bernard pass before dropping down in to La Rosiere. The transfer time is around 3 hours passing through some stunning alpine scenery along the way.
The Petit Saint Bernard pass is blocked by snow in winter and is only open from June to November. Outside of these dates, you will need to dive to the top of the Aosta Valley passing by Courmayeur and then through the Mont Blanc tunnel.
By train
The nearest train station to La Rosiere is Bourg Saint Maurice which is served by the fast TGV trains. From the station, you can take a bus or taxi to the resort.
