How to get to Gulmarg
India requires you to obtain a tourist visa before you enter India. There will be a fee for the visa which varies depending on which country you live in. Check with your local travel agent or go on line to your local Indian consulate for more information.
By plane
Getting to Gulmarg involves an 8 hour flight from the UK to Delhi International Airport followed by a domestic 1 hour flight to Srinagar, the capital of Kashmir.
It's 45km by car to Gulmarg and a taxi from Srinagar airport takes around two hours and costs Rs 1,200-1,500 (US$26-33).

Not recommended in the winter season!! The best option is to jump in a proper taxi or get the bus from the central depot in Srinagar.
