By plane

The nearest international airport to Val Thorens is Chambery with airport transfers taking around 90 minutes. Other airports servicing the resort include:

By car

By car is pretty straight forward with the motorway A430 to Albertville then dual carriageway to Moutiers. It's only the last 27km on the D117 to Les Menuires that can take some time especially on change over days when the roads are full of coaches.

By train

High speed trains take you all the way to Moûtiers Salins Bride les Bains train station. From the station, the last 36km can be by bus or taxi. In the ski season, there are now direct ski trains from London all the way to Moûtiers with Eurostar.
