How to get to Squaw Valley
By plane
The Reno Tahoe International Airport (RNO) operates 72 daily departures nonstop to 15 U.S. cities and 2 international cities. Airport transfers from Reno take around 45 minutes to cover the 42 miles and most of the journey is on the all weather I80.
If you have not hired a car, there are plenty of airport transfer shuttle buses that drop off at most of the hotels in the resort.
By train
Amtrak in the Bay Area offers both train and bus service into North Lake Tahoe.
By car
For those who choose to drive, it is a very scenic trip passing through forests and mountain valleys before you arrive at Lake Tahoe and then on towards Squaw Valley ski resort. Interstate 80 provides direct, all-weather access to Lake Tahoe.
