Snowmass Ski Guide

If you think you could go skiing or snowboarding in Snowmass and cover every trail and piste in a week then think again - the skiable terrain in Snowmass itself spans some 3,362 acres including the new 230 acres on Burnt Mountain for the 2014/15 season.

When you add in Aspen Mountain, Buttermilk and Aspen Highlands, this balloons to a massive 5303 acres covered by one lift pass! The downside is that they are not lift-linked but there is a free shuttle that hops to and from each area.

  • Snowmass - the second largest ski resort in Colorado
  • Aspen Mountain - intermediates and experts
  • Aspen Highlands - quieter slopes and excellent off-piste
  • Buttermilk - best for beginners and snowboarders

The mountain infrastructure across all 4 mountains is modern and with the high speed lifts, there is rarely a queue in sight.
