Overview

Seefeld ski resort is in the Olympiaregion of Austria as are it's close by neighbours of Reith, Scharnitz and Mösern/Buchen.

Reith bei Seefeld, like Mösern, prides itself on a breath taking position above the Inn valley with views to the Zillertaler Alps to the east and the Stubaier Alps in the West.

The village of Scharnitz lies to the north of the Seefeld plateau on the border between Austria and Germany and is the gateway to the Karwendel Alpine Park, which stretches from Scharnitz through to the shores of Lake Achen on the northern side of Innsbruck.

Après ski in Seedfeld revolves around cosy cafes, excellent restaurants preparing traditional and international food and many bars to guarantee you entertaining evenings and nights.

The ski area is spit in to the 3 sectors of Reither Spitze, Leutasch and Gschwandtkopf which can be reached from three sides starting from either – Reith, Seefeld or Mösern.

All the resorts in the area combine to give more than 147km of pistes and 266km of cross-country skiing trails.

Beginners

A stone throw from the centre of Seefeld village are the nursery slopes where novices can practice their turns before quickly progressing on to the gentle blues.

Intermediate

For intermediates, the three ski areas will keep you fully occupied for a weeks ski holiday with plenty of blues and reds.

Advanced

Not the best place to find the most challenging terrain and there is limited off-piste although there is a really good good area above the Harmelekopf vable car.

Cross-country

The whole area is a cross-country skiers dream with over 266km of pristine marked trails to explore amongst deep pine forests.

Snowboarding

There is 1 snow park at the Gschwandtkopf ski area.
