Sarreyer Guide & Reviews Chalets, Cabins, Mountain Holiday Homes For Rent - Sarreyer, Valais
Sarreyer is a year round destination sitting in the heart of the stunning Valais canton of Switzerland. Perched on a sunny hillside at 1,240m on the right bank of the Dranse, the old wooden chalets that line the historic narrow lanes get scorched during the peak summer months with temperatures often reaching 30°C+.
The village is like a museum where time has stood still. The old water powered flour mill still grinds the wheat which is used to make the local breads! With its 230 residents, the village only has one shop and one restaurant but there is a wider selection of shops, bars and restaurants in nearby Le Châble and Verbier.
