How to get to Riederalp
Riederalp is one of those easy-to-get-to resorts whether you are coming by plane, train or car.
By plane
The nearest international airport is Sion which is only 62km away and takes around 40 minutes to drive to the resort base lift station. Sion is largely served by regional airlines but is getting more popular with carrriers.

By car
From within Switzerland, pick up the A9 motorway that runs from Lausanne taking you along the side of Lake Geneva. Head towards Visp passing Montreux, Martigny and Sion on the way. Once at Visp, its 18kms to the base cable car station where you need to leave your car as Riederalp is a car free village.

Once at Brig, you need to change to the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn (MGBahn) train and take this to Mörel. The train station at Betten is also the base station for the cable car up to Riederalp . Train information can be found at www.cff.ch
