How to get to Meiringen
Meiringen in Hislital is a magical ski resort in the Jungfrau Region just a few minutes away from Lake Brienz that links to the bustling town of Interlaken. The village is easy to get to whether you are coming by plane, car or train.
By plane
GMeiringen is fortunate to have several international airports relatively close by with the nearest one being Bern at just 80km. Airport transfers from Bern take approximately 1 hour. Alternatively, you can fly into Basel, Zurich or Geneva with airport transfers taking between 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
By car
Travelling by car is fairly straightforward as it is motorway practically all the way no matter which direction you are coming from. As a first step, head to Interlaken and then Meiringen - Haslital is sign-posted from there.
Remember to make sure your car shows the road tax sticker. This costs CHF40 and can be bought at the border controls, petrol stations and post offices.
By train
Transfers to Meiringen by train takes just 2 ½ hours from Geneva, Basel and Zurich and 1 ½ hours from Bern.
