Lenk Ski Resort Guide & Reviews Ski Area, Apres-Ski, Holiday Rentals, Non-SKi Activities

Resort Review

Lenk sits at the end of the Simmental Valley hemmed in by the Wildstrubel massif and is an extremely pretty ski resort steeped in history and tradition and famous for it's fine spas.

It is very popular with families and tourists just wanting to get a feel for what it's like staying in one of the most beautiful villages in the Alps with breath taking views of the surrounding peaks.

Après-ski

With some good lively bars and excellent restaurants, Lenk has something for everyone although dont expect anywhere near as many bars and clubs as St Anton or Ischgl.

Lenk - Adelboden ski area guide

In addition to Lenk - Adelboden, there are 4 other ski areas in the Simmental valley giving 210km of pistes.....Elsigen-Metsch, the Tschentenalp, Silleran - Hahnenmoos and Lenk - Betelberg. Plus, from St. Stephan, there are connections to the Gstaad-Saanenland ski area with over 180km pistes

The family-friendly ski area of Betelberg is well known for its great snowmaking, wide trails and beginner/intermediate terrain. In the KidsVilalge at the Stoss Midstation, our smallest guests can be dropped off all-day (CHF 5.- per hour) while their parents enjoy a ski.

Beginners

Lenk has a fantastic beginners area on the Betelberg area which also where the childrens kindergarten is situated.

Intermediate

The whole Lenk - Adelboden area is ideal for intermediate skiers with lots of blues and red inter-linking pistes. Some of the best areas are Luegli and Lavey above Geils and Engstligenalp.

Advanced

Advanced skiers and boarders should head to the Adelboden sector where there are more challenging decents and more off-piste areas. The world Cup piste at Chuenisbargil really tests your skills!

Snowboard

The Gran Masta Park at Hahnenmoo is fully equipped with rails and kickers whilst at Betelberg, there is the Snowcross Park on Hasler which is popular with freeriders and snowboarders.

Other ski holiday activities

  • Ice skating, curling
  • Ice climbing
  • Snow tubing
  • 75km of winter walking trails, snowshoeing
  • Parapenting
  • Heli-skiing

Tobaganning

If you like sledging, Lenk has a 3km-long toboggan run starting from the Leiterli mountain station on the Betelberg to the Stoss half-way station - superb fun for all the family but remember to wear goggles as the snow sprays into your face.
