- Picnic on Mateille beach - its the largest beach in Gruissan with a salt-water lake on one side and the sea on the other - absolutely beautiful

Gruissan is also a great spot to use as a base for exploring the other wonderful valleys, beaches and countryside in this part of Languedoc-Roussillon and further afield on to the northern beaches of Spain.
