Galtür Piste Map, Silvretta Skiing and Snowboarding in Galtür and Paznaun Valley
When you first look at the Galtür piste map, you will notice that the local ski area is a short distance away from the resort - in fact its a 5 minute bus ride to the tiny village of Wirl which is where the local ski area is situated.
Skiing on the uncrowded pistes around Wirl tend to favour beginners and early intermediates with plenty of easy blues which make the area a firm favourite for families and mixed-ability groups.
For the good intermediate and advanced skiers, the 15 minute bus ride to Ischgl should be your destination - the ski area is vast and there are many challenging pistes. Plus, being on the Swiss border, its possible to ski down in to the charming duty free Swiss resort of Samnaun for some lunch and light shopping.
