Overview
Ski holidays in Engelberg, Switzerland - sitting at 1050m, the village was founded in 1120 by a Benedictine monk and erected a monestery which still stands today.
The compact resort is not that well known ouside of Switzerland yet is starting to attract a loyal following of off-piste enthusiasts who come for the long trails and deep powder that flow from the Titlis glacier above 3000m.
The pisted trails cover 82km and are geared towards good intermediates and above yet the resort also provides some excellent beginner and family ski areas on gentle slopes in the Brunni and Gerschnialp sectors.

Our view on Engelberg ski holidays
Pretty much unknown as a ski resort to a large section of the skiing fraternity, Engelberg is starting to appear on the radar especially for off-piste lovers. A good fun resort on and off the slopes and one to be tried before the crowds start to appear.
