Resort Review

Anzère sits on a south-facing plateau in a natural sun trap at 1500m over looking the grapevines that cover the lower Rhône valley. It is a lovely family friendly alpine ski resort purpose built in 1965 and designed to ensure that all the local amenities are never far away.

Après-ski

The night life can be as relaxed or as lively as you want to make it with a choice of several restaurants and bars plus a nightclub called La Masque which stays open until the early hours. Later in the season in the spring sunshine, snow parties at the Dahu Bar are the first port of call before the evening apres-ski.

Anzère Accommodation

Unlike some resorts that allowed ugly non-eco friendly new developments to rise up unchecked, Anzère has made sure the old and the new blend together. The result is high quality chalets and apartments built from local materials with many within a short walk to the village centre and the ski lifts.

Anzère ski holidays - our view

Skiing in Anzère on a sunny day takes some beating. Fantastic views of the surrunding peaks, great mountain restaurants and excellent touring opportunities. A couple of suggestions...

  • A day over to Zermatt with it's long runs and stunning views of the Matterhorn is not to be missed
  • Visit Lake Geneva and the beautiful lakeside town of Montreux
  • Visit the full-scale avalanche dynamics test site near Anzère - the Tourist Office organises tours once a month throughout the year

If you like Anzère, you may also want to look at Saas Fee and Les Diablerets where there is usually very good early and late season skiing on Glacier 3000.
