Skiing in Val d'Isere includes the linked resort of Tignes - part of the L'Espace Killy system that provides some 300km of piste to explore.
This is a vast ski area and the Val d'Isere piste map gives a flavour for the endless off-piste opportunities from steep couloirs to open bowls in the back-country - taking a guide is highly recommended. And, with most of the accommodation in Val d'Isere being a short walk to the lifts, less time is wasted getting on and off the slopes.
