For intermediate skiers and boarders, the whole area is paradise as you can cruise all day without skiing the same piste twice. And for experts, there is so much off-piste, you will be spoilt for choice.

Unless you plan skiing around the Trios Vallees every day during your weeks holiday or are staying for a season, it is more economical to get the Val Thorens / Orelle lift pass and top up to a 3 Vallees pass when you need it.

Just round the corner in the Tarentaise Valley are some of the most well known ski resorts in the world including the massive linked areas of Paradiski and Espace Killy - a weekly lift ticket in Orelle/Les Trois Vallées lets you ski one day in each of them. There was a plan to interlink all systems and resorts to create the largest ski area in the world. However that vision was ended with the creation of the Vanoise National Park.
